Knock Knock...

I love being a dad... there are so many perks to the job, the biggest one being all of the laughs that your kids provide!

Brooklyn is our comedian! She's always making funny noises and funny faces and then asks us immediately afterwards "Was that funny?". She gets the biggest kick of of being funny, and I absolutely love it. No matter how hard a day has been, she seriously always knows how to cheer me up. Tonight was no exception.

Tonight, out of no where, Brooklyn came up to me and tried to tell me a Knock Knock joke. It was hilarious! Here's how it went:

Brooklyn: "Say knock, knock daddy..."

Me: "Okay, knock, knock"

Brooklyn: "Say who's there daddy..."

Me: "Okay, who's there?"

Brooklyn: "Bannana"

Me: "Bannana who?"

Brooklyn: "Say knock, knock daddy..."

Me: "Oh, okay, knock, knock."

Brooklyn: "Say who's there daddy..."

Me: "Who's there?"

Brooklyn: "Orange"

Brooklyn: "Was that funny daddy?"

I laughed so hard, it was her first attempt at a knock knock joke, at least with me, and it was hilarious. Sure, her joke didn't make any sense, but it was her excitement and effort that made it great. I sure love her genuine desire to make me laugh. She also made me laugh big time tonight during a Super Bowl replay on the NFL Network. They were showing Super Bowl XL (Steelers vs. Seahawks) and the Rolling Stones were playing during the halftime show. I looked over at Brooklyn and she was rocking out on the couch. I asked her if she liked the music and she got into her "sincere" voice and said "It's so beautiful daddy." LOL, I've never thought of the Rolling Stones music as being beautiful, but hey what do I know. Here are some pics of some of the funny faces Brooklyn likes to make:

Dooder is getting a sense of humor already as well. Lately he's been sticking out his tongue and moving it back and forth and he's also been getting into his "stinky" face and does it whenever I try to do it as well. He's following right in the footsteps of his big sister by wanting to be funny all of the time. Here are some pics of his "stinky" face...

I'm not sure how I got so lucky to have 2 little comedians in the house but I honestly love it!
