A Fairy Tea Party / Dooder Translation Guide / Q-Fam Wildlife Preserve

Hey Everyone,

I'm sorry it's been so long such our last post. It doesn't seem like very many people post on here anymore so I've been losing motivation! But, rest assured for the select few of you who still check out family blogs I'm not going to give up, because really blogging is a good family journal.
So, here's what we've been up to lately:

A Fairy Tea Party

Nate's wife Courtney helped to set up a great event at the Provo City Library called a Fairy Tea Party. THANKS COURTNEY, BROOKLYN HASN'T STOPPED TALKING ABOUT IT!

It was a great excuse for Brooklyn to adorn herself with fairy wings and pretend to be a fairy. I didn't get the chance to go (Dooder and I had a GUY'S DAY AT HOME FIGHTING RUSSIANS IN CALL OF DUTY. He doesn't say a lot of words yet but I think I've got him saying "run, grenade!) while Britney and Brooklyn met Courtney, Ashlee and Brinley for the tea party. It does sound like they all had a great time. Here are some pics Brit took of the event:

Brooklyn loves dressing up so this was a really fun experience for her. Thanks again Courtney for the invite!

Dooder Translation Guide

Carson still isn't the best talker. He has his own little language which is pretty frustrating at times. To help with the frustration Britney put together a "Dooder Translation Guide", we thought everyone would get a kick out of it:
-beebee = blankie
-bah bah = sippie cup
-boo boo = Magna Doodle, crayons & coloring books
-If he's saying "moo" and pointing out the window, there must be deer outside.
-fro fro = ruff ruff
-bopper = diaper
-yeh yo = yellow
-puh po = purple
-wuh woo = love you
-woo woo = trains, cars and his train table
-moe moe = Elmo
-fow = fall
-pho = phone
-baw = ball
-buh baw = basketball
-buh = book
-buh boooooo = Blue's Clues
-sue = shoe
-num nuh = food or he's hungry
-dey doo = thank you
-bee = please
-nana = banana or any other kind of fruit
-moe moe sue = Elmo slippers
-nah nigh = good night
-bye = bye, good night, go away now, see you later, why are you still here, etc...
-nooooo = snow
-no = yes
-no (screaming) = no
-sa = yes
-dow = down
-det dow = get down
Complicated huh? Anyone want to babysit and see if they can pick up on his lingo?

The Q-Fam Wildlife Preserve

Another interesting thing we've been dealing with lately has been deer dwelling in our backyard. They seem to love our yard in the winter and this year more than others. We've had throngs of deer bedding down in our backyard, and we even had a HUGE buck hanging out in our yard a few weeks ago. Click Here to check out this video that Britney took of our pet buck a few weeks ago.
